NETSTONE together with the Foundation of the Architects Registration Board of Milan

The seminar “La filiera delle pietre naturali” – “The natural stone supply chain” at the Foundation of the Architects Registration Board of Milan.

We started this 2024 with an important collaboration with the Foundation of Architects Registration Board of Milan. On Wednesday 24th January there was the first training event on the natural stone supply chain, a seminar attended by over 150 architects between those in presence and those remotely.

The interest of the audience was very high thanks to images, videos and stories of the quarry. In two hours, passed like a flutter of wings, we talked about the extraction of the block (outdoor and tunnel quarries, how the block is born and its extraction), safety and environmental impact in the quarry.

At the beginning of the meeting, we took the opportunity to present NETSTONE, as a network of companies and, at the same time, a platform and tool available to architects and designers for any type of work that involves the use of natural stone.

We owe a big thank you to the hosts, Foundation of Architects Registration Board of Milan in the person of Arch. Maurizio Carones (Vice-President of the Foundation and Councillor of the Order), Davide Coltelli, (head of Cava di Vagli) and Ottavio Baisi (president of the Apuana Vagli Cooperative).

The next appointment will be on 23rd February in Cantù for the guided tour at CMP Solmar, a natural continuation of the seminar to deepen the world of slabs and its processing. Theory and practice among blocks and slabs of marble, granite, stone, onyx, travertine, quartzite.

We will also take the opportunity to present the Brianza network of NETSTONE companies, which make up a district of the highest quality in the processing of natural stone, developed together and in synergy with the prestigious furniture sector of the area.

In spring there will be a guided tour of the historic Vagli Quarry, one of the best known in the world where some of the most renowned marbles such as Calacatta Vagli Oro, Arabescato Vagli, Calacatta Viola are extracted. One of the oldest quarries in Tuscany, today a reference point for the entire sector.

Visit order’s website to register. The appointments include training credits.
